Here are two things that could be found walking around Harvard today:

A Farmers’ Market

and a performance of “Chairs: The Musical” thanks to The Chairs Revue.

Reflecting on Boston

More than just a crosswalk button, it’s a different view on the city.

I actually really enjoying photographing reflections and mirror images. Here are some more that I posted in a set on Flickr.

A day in Salem, MA wouldn’t be complete without a trip to a cemetery.

Take Me Out to the Ballgame

I had a hard time choosing today’s image. It was between this one and one other, but I settled on this one because it goes back to finding random things. These little sox were on the ground as I was walking from the T over to Fenway. OK, so not so random to find some little sox on the way to the home of the Sox, but still.

Want to see more Sox? Check out some more pics on my Flickr album.

The Journey

Five days, five new photos.

I actually went out twice today. It was one of those days where I thought I might have something, and got it pretty quickly – but then as I was reviewing the images and thinking about what I wanted to write, I wasn’t that happy, so I went out again. The fun thing about this self-assignment is the journey to get an image – whether it’s great, good, whatever, and also whether I have something to say about it or not.

And thanks to you for taking this journey with me!

Hitting the Streets

When people ask what kind of photography I do, among my list of photography interests I always say “street photography” and this little doll is one of the reasons why. I was just getting off the T at Kendall Station and there she was. Questions like “why is she there” and “where did she come from” might not wind up being answered — it was just one moment of capturing something random and unexpected.

But my favorite picture of his is “Barber Shop Through Screen Door” (you do know The Americans, right?) – and here is my little homage to it (I even posted in B&W). This is looking in through a window of the Weld Boat House.
